Korea’s national net worth reached 24,561 trillion won at the end of 2025, up 531 trillion won, or 2.2%, from a year earlier, according to the country’s official National Balance Sheet.
Non-financial assets accounted for 23,291 trillion won of that total, while net financial assets stood at 1,271 trillion won. Within the non-financial asset base, land was valued at 12,660 trillion won, up 4.6% from a year earlier.
Housing assets rose faster, increasing 8% to 7,710 trillion won. Housing in the capital region was valued at 5,427 trillion won, representing 70.4% of the national housing-asset total.
These figures measure asset stocks in the national accounts. They are not asking prices or completed home-sale prices, so the 8% change should not be read as a transaction-price index.
