Saudi Arabia recorded 19,844 residential sale transactions in June 2026, an increase of 17% from May and 18% from a year earlier, according to Real Estate General Authority data reported by Arab News.
The value of residential transactions reached about SAR 15.02 billion. That was 6% higher month on month and described as stable on an annual basis. The average residential sale transaction value moved in the opposite direction, falling 1% from May and 7% year on year to SAR 706,282.
Rental activity also expanded. Residential lease contracts reached 261,363 in June, up 10% month on month and 42% from a year earlier.
The combination suggests that transaction and leasing activity grew faster than values during the month. It does not by itself establish a broad rise in property prices or show what caused the increase in activity.
Arab News said the figures came from REGA’s monthly real estate market report. Sales data were compiled from Ministry of Justice and Real Estate Registry records, while rental data came from the Ejar platform. REGA’s official indicators platform publishes periodically updated sales and rental indicators, although the specific June report was not available as a public English-language bulletin during this review.
The June indicators are separate from Saudi Arabia’s foreign-property-ownership framework. They measure current sales and rental activity rather than changes to who may purchase property or how applications are processed.
