Visa on Arrival and Business Visa on Arrival
On the flight, cabin crew hand out the basic entry forms for you to fill in; you submit them at the counter on arrival.
Documents needed for a tourist visa: visa application form, arrival card, customs declaration form, two 2-inch photos on a white background, and a tourist visa fee of US$30.
Documents needed for a business visa: a business (E-class) visa is obtained on arrival for an initial fee of US$35 (reduced from US$42 on 1 January 2025), and is mainly for people who will be working in Cambodia for an extended period. Required documents: proof of employment and a valid entry visa. To stay longer, extensions are filed at the General Department of Immigration in Phnom Penh at tiered fees of US$45 (1 month), US$75 (3 months), US$155 (6 months) or US$285 (12 months).
The first business visa costs US$35; after that, you extend your visa (a “visa extension”) once you are inside the country, and the fee varies depending on how long an extension you need. You cannot enter on a tourist visa and then convert it into a business visa.
Things to note:
- Getting a visa on arrival in Cambodia may involve long queues and paying a small tip.
- Visitors can apply for a visa extension at the Immigration Department of the National Police under Cambodia’s Ministry of Interior, which allows an additional 30 days of stay.
Travelers who need to extend their stay in Cambodia must submit a visa extension application at Cambodia’s immigration headquarters in Phnom Penh.
- When to apply: within two weeks before your e-visa or visa-on-arrival expires
- Processing time: about 3 to 7 business days
- Extension fees (tiered by length): US$45 (1 month), US$75 (3 months), US$155 (6 months), US$285 (12 months)
- On arrival in Cambodia, your passport must be valid for 6 months or more, with at least one blank page.
- You must carry a copy of your e-visa with you at all times while staying in Cambodia.
Cambodia applies no special COVID-related restrictions on entry; e-visa, visa-on-arrival, and visa-free entry (where applicable) operate normally.
